July 17-18: Capitol Reef Classic – 2nd Annual High Desert Bike Race.
The Capitol Reef Classic Stage Race is an annual event that will challenge the most experienced racer and has also been designed to facilitate the transition from recreational cyclist to the world of competition. The location of this event takes place in one of Utah’s best kept secrets of high desert/alpine terrain. You will enjoy moderate summer temperatures in this beautiful natural setting. Entrada Institute: 435-425-3265, PO Box 217, 185 West Main, Torrey, UT 84775, A non-profit arts and educational center that furthers public understanding and appreciation of the natural, historical, cultural and scientific heritage of the Colorado Plateau province lying west of the Green & Colorado Rivers.
