Wayne County, Utah has four licensed ambulances stationed in three of the County's communities. Each of these ambulances is licensed and inspected by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, and can respond anywhere in our County and transport to the nearest medical facility, as well as any of several large, urban hospitals. Our ambulances are equipped with BLS & ALS equipment and communications technology. They are staffed by a three-person medical team.

Our Emergency Medical Teams are comprised of highly trained, volunteers who generously give their time & skills to help those in need. These folks receive small compensation for the never-ending work they do, and respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week from all over the county(VERY large). We are an Intermediate-level ambulance service, which places us between Basic and Paramedic levels in prehospital patient care.

Wayne County Ambulance is a not-for-profit, paid volunteer organization, and is wholly owned and operated under the auspices of Wayne County Government. The day-to-day operation of the service is managed through the Wayne County Emergency Services Office located in the Court House in Loa, Utah.
